Four materials, eight grades, one plant
Black SBR granules in four sizes, rubber powder in two mesh grades, steel cord and textile fibre. Every lot ships with its own sieve analysis and data sheet.
Rubber granules
Ambient-ground black SBR from whole tyres, 99% free from steel and fibre, screened into four named grades. Pick a grade to see where it fits.
The fine grade: 0.5-2 mm
A fine granule running from 0.5 to 2 mm. The fine end of the range, used in tile blends, moulded goods and fine-infill systems.
Packed in one-tonne big bags, approx. 24-26 t per 40 ft container. Sieve analysis and technical data sheet supplied with every lot.
The infill grade: 1-3 mm
A mid granule running from 1 to 3 mm. The working grade for artificial turf infill and running track base layers.
Packed in one-tonne big bags, approx. 24-26 t per 40 ft container. Sieve analysis and technical data sheet supplied with every lot.
The track grade: 2-4 mm
A coarse granule running from 2 to 4 mm. Sits inside running track spec and wet-pour base layers under playgrounds.
Packed in one-tonne big bags, approx. 24-26 t per 40 ft container. Sieve analysis and technical data sheet supplied with every lot.
The base grade: 2-5 mm
The coarsest granule, 2 to 5 mm. The volume grade for wet-pour safety surfacing base layers.
Packed in one-tonne big bags, approx. 24-26 t per 40 ft container. Sieve analysis and technical data sheet supplied with every lot.
Rubber powder
Fine crumb in the two grades buyers actually specify. Mesh is the trade language; we publish the millimetre translation with it.
20 mesh
Particles under 0.85 mm. Mats, moulded goods and tile blends.
30 mesh
Particles under 0.6 mm. The asphalt modification grade, also used in adhesives and compounds.
Tyre wire steel
Fine steel cord recovered from the tyre, 1-5% residual rubber, sold as melting feedstock by the container.
Textile fibre
The residual fraction of the tyre. Sold as recovered fibre; offtake enquiries welcome.
Where our materials are used
Pick a use to see the grades that serve it.
Artificial turf infill
1-3 mm granules
The working infill grade for artificial pitches. Football systems typically specify a 0.8-2.5 mm band: send your system’s spec and we match the curve.
Running tracks
1-3 and 2-4 mm granules
Base layers under athletic tracks are built on granules in the 1-4 mm window. Both grades sit inside it.
Safety surfacing
2-4 and 2-5 mm granules
Wet-pour bases under playgrounds take the coarse grades, laid thick and bound on site.
Rubberised asphalt
30 mesh powder
Field-blend rubberised asphalt runs on 30 mesh crumb worked into the binder.
Tiles, mats and moulded goods
20 / 30 mesh and 0.5-2 mm
Moulders and tile plants take the fine end of the range: both powders and the finest granule.
